It was written during the Crusade against the Cathars by two sort of “war reporters”.The only version that has come down to us, kept at the Bibliothéque Nationale de France is illustrated by thirteen magnificent line drawings of great finesse depicting the fights, sieges, negotiations and dramas of the Crusade against the Cathars.
